The Guilt of a Busy Mom
Becoming a parent is amazing and overwhelming all at the same time.
We love our children with such intensity that we can’t express it in words. We often feel that the word love is just not even enough.
The biggest challenge and insecurity on this journey we call parenthood is providing for our children’s needs. Things like having the right house, in the right neighborhood, with the best school district. Then there is the challenge of balancing the right amount of toys, friends, and limit
ed screen time! We have to focus on school, work, and social time. All while balancing our own schedules. Not even considering nutrition and a healthy diet because this is the core of parenthood.
To be sincere, the subject of nutrition overwhelms me. I am constantly trying new things and researching ways to find that healthy balance. I’ve had to become completely creative when it comes to my family’s nutritional needs. Yet, at the same time, I always feel guilty that I am not doing enough.
This journey has not been easy, but no one said it would be. I am enjoying every moment and learning along the way. However, I know so many moms do not have any extra moments in the day even to begin to experiment with nutrition for their families.
I am sharing all of this because I want you to know that you are not alone. The lack of sleep, busy schedule, and normal craziness, helped make me a better person, a better mom, and a better wife. I wouldn’t trade this craziness for anything. Maybe a 12-hour nap and a massage could make things a little easier! Ha!
My goal is to take a small amount of worry out of your day by providing you with nutritious smoothies for your family! This journey is a long one! All we can do is enjoy the ride!
